We're glad you're here.  This website aims to be a community hub for independent Christian authors, artists, editors, and - of course - those who love their work.  We firmly believe that humanity is formed in the Image of God, and part of that divine image inherit in every human being is the capability and drive to create.  While we do not have the power of God to physically generate substance and give life to it with nothing but our words, it is clear that our words are powerful.  When we combine them with the uniquely human gift of imagination, we can create whole worlds and living stories in the minds and hearts of readers, and those stories have the power to impact our everyday lives.  C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, George MacDonald, Frank Peretti, and so many more have used the gifts God gave them to give life to such stories.
In the same way God gives some individuals the ability to capture a moment, or even a thought, in a physical image.  Photographs, paintings, sketches, and every other form of visual art is a gift from God to fill His world with beauty and wonder.  One of my favorite artists is Rembrandt, whose use of light and shadow created images that draw the viewer into the painting.  Such is the task of the artist - not only showing a moment or a thought, but bringing a viewer into that moment.

Not only do we believe that God has gifted certain people with the abilities to write and create works of art, but we believe that some are gifted with an incredible eye for detail.  Editors, believe it or not, are a gift from God to His artists.  They take a work of literature or art and find its strengths and weaknesses.  Their intention is not to rip art apart but to build it up.  An editor makes a good thing excellent, and that is a gift to be treasured.
These three gifts, Writing, Artistry, and Editing, make up the foundation of TriStone.  We aim to connect creators, editors, and enthusiasts so that Christian art & literature can shine as brightly as possible and be appreciated by as many as possible.
We're glad you're here, and we hope you find this site useful, engaging, and encouraging.
